News & Notices
November 2001
- November 29, 2001 This afternoon, some people have busy signals
on 593-9397. We have done work this afternoon and determined it is a
Verizon problem. We hope to have Verizon work on it tomorrow.
- November 28, 2001 4:00pm. 24 more lines are available now for
563-8999. This doubles the number of lines at that number.
- November 21, 2001 1:00am. There is some sort of networking
problem at Benner Hill in Rockland. This is affecting Union dialup and
wireless as well as some Rockland/Warren/Matinicus/Westport wireless
users. Things were checked out in Owls Head in the last few minutes, and
Benner Hill will be checked at 8am when it is light out. Update: 7:30am.
Connectivity to Benner Hill has been restored.
- November 19, 2001 1:50pm. Anti-spam filtering software is in place
and running for @lincoln.midcoast.com, @kona.midcoast.com, and @free.midcoast.com
addresses. At some point @midcoast.com will also be added. Currently, things that
are affected by the anti-spam filters are marked JUNKMAIL in the subject. This is
likely to cause questions and we are developing a FAQ which we should have available
shortly.
- November 17, 2001 10:00am. Wiscasset and Bath dialup numbers
are down. This is because the T1 serving them is down. We are
investigating this trouble this morning. 10:50am. We have restarted some networking equipment
and the Wiscassset and Bath link is back in operation now.
- November 14, 2001 2:30-3:30. Power is out in Owls Head. Things
were run on generator.
- November 6, 2001 4:00pm. Some people calling 563-8999 have
received busy or other recorded messages. We will have more lines for this
on November 16.
- November 2, 2001 3:50-4:20pm. During this time, some people
were unable to log into the Damariscotta numbers; this was due to the
Conchita server in Owls Head being restarted at that time.
- November 2, 2001 This afternoon, some people are having trouble
with the Wiscasset and Bath numbers. This seems to be a Verizon problems.
We have notified them and they are working on it.
